Over 200 people crammed into the tiny Oval Blues Club, Croydon on London's southside on Muddy's 26th Anniversary to listen to his songs. Some of London's leading blues performers gathered to honour the Mississippi bluesman's passing.
The evening was hosted by John O'Leary (vocals/harmonica) with Alan Glen on guitar and harmonica, soul singer Paul Cox, Shakey Vick (harmonica/vocals), Giles Hedley (solo Delta country blues) and the superb house band of Jamie Rowan (piano), Big Al Vinson (guitar), Glynn Evans (bass) and Sam Kelly (drums). Werner Lindner (Germany's Ambassador to The Blues Hall of Fame) also guested on guitar.
