07th July 2009  Live album Release

In response to the many requests received, John has finally decided to release the "Live at Mr. Kyps" album which was recorded on 30th November 2006.  The album captures the band rip- roarding it's way through old favourites including a 17 minute version of "Black Cat Bone".  The sound quality is excellent and has been taken straight from the venue's mixing desk. The album will feature Jules, Roger, Mr. Jools and Joachim Greve.

20th June 2009  Jules Fothegill & David Day

Our long-standing guitarist Jules Fothergill has left to concentrate on his own band Northsyde . Jules joined us at the age of 23 and immediately made a powerful impression on both audiences and critics alike with his soaring individualism and virtuosity.  His place is taken by guitarist/vocalist David Day who has worked extensively with the wonderful Canadian blues singer Diana Braithwaite and U.S. harp player Johnny Mars. In the past David has collaborated with fellow members of band, Roger Inniss and Jools Grudgings and it is a natural step for both David and John to take.

In addition to the change in personnel, John has decided to also change the band's name to John O'Leary's Sugarkane. To mark the change in both name and the arrival of David Day, plans are being made to record a new album which we hope will be ready for release later this year.

Jules farewell gig with the band will be at The Harbour Club in Liverpool on the 25th June where he will be joined  by David Day.
